5 Ways to Stay Super Productive! [5X More Time Guaranteed]

I’ve read good amount of books/ blogs/ reddit threads on productivity. Mainly, I was inspired to work on improving my productivity after I read the book 4 Hour Work Week.

It has been almost a year now practicing – Improving the Productivity and today, I want to share with you some of the best working ways (or say my experiments) that have helped me dramatically improve my productivity!

Note: I’ll be sharing the tips in parts (i.e. one tip every week).
Reason: So that you can consume all the tips well! These are ACT Exercises and hence won’t be good if I share all at once!

1) Uninstalling the Facebook App and Turning the Whatsapp Notification Completely Off

Notifications are Killing Your Time!
Notifications are Killing Your Time!

This may sound nuts, but believe me! I’ve created good amount of my time through this!

I am not asking you to not to use Facebook or Whatsapp. I am asking you to take control of it rather it controlling you.

When you do not have any notifications on your mobile, you are all of a sudden Free!

When You Wake Up in the Morning, you almost have ZERO notification to look at, that’s an amazing time you have created for yourself!

And if you still do not believe me, read the article on Time and learn how notifications are killing your productivity.

Note: I still use Facebook via browser. (I said to uninstall the app, not to delete the account).  I also use Whatsapp but my status on Whatsapp communicates people that I am not using it and that they shouldn’t expect an immediate reply from me. <<THIS keeps me Super Free! >>

My Whatsapp Status – Away from Whatsapp! Catch me on Email or SMS

Next week, I will share with you one more productivity tip! It is one of my best recent discoveries! Basically a tool that has helped me maintain a super awesome to do list!

Why it is so hard to write a content?

I am struggling with writing content. Since I took on my new job, its been a hell of a ride for me.

The new Job has exposed me to writing content, Which I find it difficult to do. Because I am not a born writer and nor do I have that flair of writing, I struggle most of the time and end up being angry.

I am trying to work on improving my writing skill by writing content but it seems it ain’t easy. I create a rough draft one day and rework on it the next day and end up creating another rough draft for another day.

One thing is sure that I am not a born writer and I only like to write things that I love.

I don’t know if I will able to write things on my own or not.

I have a dream of becoming a good writer but I need a guru. I darn need a guru who can teach me how to improve my writing.

The best tip to improve writing is by writing daily I guess, but i think this is underrated and is not the smartest of the tip.

Eight Experiences That will Make My Life Awesome (a.k.a My Eight Wish List)

1) Graduating from Harvard, Stanford or Oxford

images

Graduating from a premier institute had always been ma dream. After graduating from Nirma, it just got boost up. I said to ma self – ma next college education won’t be just in any other premier college but only in top 5 or top 10 colleges of the world and to the best in any of these three well known colleges – Harvard, Standford or Oxford.

You bet when people ask me why aren’t you pursuing your MBA, I say to them I am saving it for Harvard 😛

And yeah you can even find its logo’s on ma wall:-

2) Becoming a well know entrepreneur

I want to build amazing products that will improve the life of online users. My products will give online users the wow experience and they would just love it. I want to be someone who has contributed to the life of online users to a great extend. Something unmeasurable 😛

In brief:-

I want to put a ding in the universe

3) A Nightout in Las Vegas

A dream of any outsider  to enjoy the kind of nightout this place offers. I want to play high roller poker, i too want to get madly drunk and have a hangover in this wildest city. I too want to go to strip club and throw some dollars (:P) and much more. Can’t say more as its a strict no no against ma public image 😛

4) A Nightout in Macau

Okay, I have heard a lot about macau as the next destination to Las vegas, and yeah I don’t want to miss the fun this place has to offer

To tell you about this, i just love swimming and  a great admirer of nature. Thinking of this sport reminds me of zindagi milegi na doobra movie where Hrithik Roshan finally listens to his heart and gets backs his life under control. Hoping for the same. Achieving internal peace. 😛

7) Dating a well know celebrity

Was confused in deciding which pic should I put, finally placed the pic of Yes Man Star – Zooey Deschanel

You name it Ellen Page (i just loved her acting in Juno), Emma Stone, Zooey Deschanel (Yes Man), Jordana Brewster (FF Fame), Miley Cyrus, Katie Holmes, Jennifer Connelly and the list goes on.

8) Publishing an article on the Front of Yahoo!

yahoo_frontpage_1_sm

A dream, something i have been telling it to ma friends for the past 1-2 years that one day ma article will be featured on the front page of Yahoo. I am just honing ma writing skills in various ways and i am trying darn hard so that one day ma article gets featured on Yahoo!

What is your wish List?

State of your mind before you sleep does affects your dream

Well yeah, first a disclaimer i am not a social scientist nor a psychologists I am just sharing what i experienced last night.

So what happened last night?
I was reading this book Blink by malcolm gladwell, its a book more or less related to how we take snap judgments without much prior knowledge of the subject.

So yesterday night, i was reading this book, fully engrossed in their experiments, trying to understand how we take snap judgments. I read their 5-6 research/ experiments which were in a way darn enough to make me suffer. The whole night while i was sleeping ma subconscious mind was constantly trap into that research thing. Whatever I dreamt of, the whole research thing came back to me, as if i was one of those participants and someone was examining ma behavior. 😛

Kind of disturbing though as you don’t want some thing like that happening in your dream. And not to forget, that i woke up twice from my dream 😦

So yeah, state of your mind before you go to bed does affect your sleep

Challenges do make us more efficient

People always say it but never had a chance to experienced it. But than few days back i did.

Here’s the short story of how i realized it-

I experienced this hard coated fact when i was doing my regular workout, after it was completed I was checking on internet different exercises and then I land up to a page which said “30 day Fitness challenge“. I saw the challenge and immediately said to myself  i am gonna do that.

No inspiration nothing required, just the whole idea that its a challenge and i can prove ma self, made ma daily workout more awesome.

Just in case if you were interested in knowing what that challenge was, here’s the link –http://30dayfitnesschallenges.com/classes/30-day-plank-challenge/ (check out the 30 day chart, I’m on ma 15th day 😛 )

On a personal note:- Something i have observed is that when i am told “this is a challenge for you and can you do it?” I suddenly get excited and see it as an opportunity to prove myself
